88 miles per hour
July 1 was Canada Day. I slept in, so I didn't go to any of the free pancake breakfasts (8 AM, first come first served) or the official opening ceremony at Citadel Hill, an old British fort here. I did go to Citadel Hill later and got yelled at for getting too close to the 21-gun salute. I also got free cake. Later on I took a tour of the HMCS Sackville and the HMCS Halifax. The Sackville is a WWII-era museum ship, while the Halifax is an actual military vessel. I got to hold several pieces of military hardware (rifles, machine guns, anti-tank weapons) and generally participate in nationalist mythmaking and propagandizing. Anyway, I saw a DeLorean in the parking lot. Actually, it was a Bricklin, the owner had a booklet for gawkers which clearly stated "This is not the car from Back to the Future, that was a Delorien [sic], this is a Bricklin." Also, there was no flux capacitor in the middle, just a Power Rangers doll.
