It's Summertime!
Hello, everyone!
Its been quite a while since I posted anything so here are some photos Biboy took in Subic Bay and Castillejos. We are reeling from high fuel prices and 36 degree heat even during the evenings. Still, summer in the Philippines means going to the beach.
This trip was made during Holy Week. We are actually at the beach in Subic Bay (more accurately at the Barangay Baretto in Olongapo City) on Good Friday but we stayed at the farmhouse in Castillejos where we recorded our tribute to Ate last November. As you can see, we also got a band together, this time with two really good old pros handling the bass and lead guitar. Cyrus was on drums.

Have a happy summer Uncle Butch, Tita Julie, and Biboy! I haven't posted lately either. Let's see, I got back on Monday from a week-long conference in Montreal, my proposal just got approved yesterday so I'm finally cleared to do research, I made Ma Po Tofu for my department's potluck dinner last night, and I will be spending (Queen) Victoria Day on Monday swilling cheap martinis at someone's going away party. I think that's pretty much everything new going on at my end. I don't have any pictures of Montreal, but maybe I'll get some from the other people I went with and post them if I can. Oh, and it's still only springtime here, but I did get to spend part of today in a t-shirt, so it's slowly getting warmer too.
