Typhoon Milenyo
Greetings everyone.
Typhoon Milenyo ripped across Luzon last Thursday, leaving behind more than a billion pesos worth of damage and about a hundred lives lost.
The province of Cavite - including our beloved Queensrow - took a hard hit. Most of the province is still without power, water and communications. A number of houses had portions or all of their roofs blown off. Transportation has returned to almost normal, as the trees, power lines and billboards that blocked almost all roadways have been cleared. Last Friday, driving through the streets was like a scene from Jurassic Park, with all the branches, vegetation and debris. You literally had to snake your way through as there was no discernable concrete.
Biboy took pictures of the aftermath. I'll be uploading them tomorrow if our DSL connection at the office has been restored. (I'm at an internet cafe in Megamall posting this). Until then.
